Setting resources

To define which resources are exchanged by a system, the easiest way is to add them and configure them using the specification sequence accessible via the "Add" tool.

When selecting resources in the type tree, you are prompted to configure the parameters of these resources before adding them to the design panel.

There is a difference in the configuration depending on whether you are designing a board or a component.

For example, setting a "power" resource in a board design asks only to set specific values like "Name", "Tension" and "Nominal (current)". While in a component design, the same parameters are available but it is possible to additionally specify the pin number and the direction (input/output) see article The Needed/Offered resource direction

The red boxes highlight the "resources configurator" which allows you to configure the main parameters: Name, Consistency parameter and Nominal for a board design. In addition, Pin n° and Direction for a component design.

The same principle applies to all other resources in the type tree.

If you want to configure more deeply the resources, it is possible to do it when you enter the resource by double-clicking it.

There are hidden settings inside the resources that you can configure and that are not available in the resource configurator.
